- Print. Black and white photographic print of The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store under construction on Woodward Avenue. The construction occurring is joining the two Hudson's buildings together where Himelhoch's Department Store was once located. A series of intricate scaffolding is visible atop the sidewalk and in front of the structure. Automobiles are parked along Woodward Avenue in front of Hudson's, and The Newcomb-Endicott Company in the background. The date, and photographic sequence number are printed on the bottom of the recto, "Aug - 20 - 23; 55803." Also, the name of the photography studio, and their geographic location are embossed on the bottom of the recto, "Manning Bros., Detroit."

- Print. Black and white photographic print taken from an elevated vantage point, of a ten-story addition to The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store Building on Woodward Avenue. A series of automobiles are parked adjacent to the curb in the foreground. Himelhoch's Department Store is south of the new addition and north of the current structure with visible window displays. Signage affixed to the new Hudson's addition reads, "Another 10 Story Building for the J.L. Hudson Co." The date is printed on the bottom of the recto, "Oct. 3 - 18." Also, the photography studios name and their geographic location are embossed on the bottom of the recto, "Manning Bros., Detroit."

- Black and white photograph taken overlooking work to convert building "B" of the Ford River Rouge Factory Complex from manufacture of Eagle Boats to that of automobiles. The strip at the center of the photo, in one of the inner aisles of the building, has been mostly filled with dirt, with regularly spaced divots left in it. Workers use a ramp to carry wheelbarrows to what appears to be a small motorized cement mixer beside the strip. A pile of wood is in the foreground. One of the building's restrooms is visible on the left. "26788-5-27-19," is printed in the lower right corner of the recto. The photo is mounted on a linen backing.

- Black and white print of a portrait photograph of workers posed in front of and on Hurlbut Memorial Gate during its construction. Several of the workers pose wearing aprons or holding tools, including stone mason John A. Bauer who stands wearing an apron and a bowler hat atop a brick pillar on the far left. Wooden frames hold up elements of the gate's stone work, and scaffolding is visible within the gate. Wooden cranes have been erected in front of and beside the gate. On the ground around the gate, piles of rubble surround pieces of unfinished stone work. "1894" has been handwritten in pen in the lower left corner.
