- Invitation to the formal opening and dedication of City Hall on July 4, 1871. The invitation is printed on yellow paper with a check pattern watermark. It reads: Detroit, June, 1871 Dear Sir: You are respectfully invited to the City of Detroit, as the guest of its Citizens, on the Fourth of July. In addition to appropriate ceremonies in celebration of the day, the occasion as been selected for the Formal Opening and Dedication of our new City Hall. It is desirable to have your letter of acceptable as early as the 15th inst., in order that time may be afforded for sending you the necessary tickets. Respectfully, etc., Wm. W. Wheaton, Mayor, C.C. - World War I poster entitled, "Americans All!" The poster has a color drawing of Lady Liberty who is holding a corner of the American flag in her right hand and is holding a wreath in her left arm over a list of surnames that is entitled, "Honor Roll." The different ethnicities of the surnames suggests a variety of people who have all come together as Americans. The artist's name and date, "Howard Chandler Christy, 1919," are shown in the lower right corner of the drawing. Small printed text in the lower left corner shows "4-C." Small printed text in the lower right corner shows "Forbes, Boston."

- Invitation to the unveiling of the Michigan Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument, printed with a message from the Committee on Invitations Chairman, Russell A. Alger. The invitation had been half folded, on one only face printed upon, then folded again in thirds. The invitation reads: Michigan Soldiers and Sailors Monument Detroit, 6th March, 1872 Sir You are respectfully invited to attend the Ceremony of unveiling the Monument at this place; Tuesday, April 9th, 1872 at 1 o'clock P.M. - Mounted enlargement of a black and white print depicting a north-facing view from the intersection of Griswold Street and Jefferson Avenue (as indicated on verso) in 1837, taken from page 457 of Silas Farmer's History of Detroit and Wayne County and Early Michigan. A horse-drawn wagon, pedestrians, and dogs are in the streets. Several storefronts have been given legible signs: "F. and C.H. Buhl," " McCormick and Moon, Hats and Caps," St. Paul's Episcopal Church, First Presbyterian Church, and Ste. Anne's Catholic Church are all visible in the background. "Copyright 1883 by Silas Farmer" printed in lower left corner. An illegible signature, presumably that of the artist William A. Raymond, is printed at the lower right. Image is mounted on heavy green cardstock.

- Color postcard depicting the Free Press Building and German American Bank from the corner of W Lafayette Boulevard and Griswold Street, with parked cars in front. Printed on verso: The Free Press is one of the leading newspapers of the country, and their new building is located within 200 feet of the City Hall. It is a ten story building, 100 feet front and 130 feet deep, and is 140 feet high. The front is of white glazed terracotta, and ornamental iron work. The side walls are of brick. Motor Bus carrying passengers over Bridge and around Belle Isle. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Aug 5, 1913.

- Letter from D.M. Ferry and Company to the Suttle and Jones Company of Felix, Alabama, dated December 20, 1910. The letter is about the shipment of a special order of seed made to Selma. It also tells of improvements made to the style of "our 5 cent papers," which are lithographed. The letter is printed on company letterhead, listing executives.
