The check is to charge to account of John Whitely of Lansing Michigan. The corner of the check is printed with an advertisement for Parker, Holmes, and Company's Nerve Chewing Tobacco, depicting a sailor who has climbed up a flag pole to nail a banner bearing the product's name.

- Color lithograph, "Club House of the Detroit Fishing and Hunting Association, St. Clair Flats, Michigan." The lithograph was printed by the Calvert Lithograph Company, Detroit. It shows an illustration of the front of the club house with many sailboats and rowboats traversing to and from the club house, and many other individuals on the grounds and dock of the club house. The club house is painted yellow, with green trim and a red roof. It is topped by an American flag in the center and a blue banner on the right. A smaller building is located to the left of the larger club house, connected by a bridge. Text on the bottom left of the image reads "A.C. Varney, Architect, Detroit." Derek S. The building was known as the Rushmere Hotel. The largest of the clubhouses on the Flats, it was built in 1884 and could accommodate 150 guests. In 1908, a grease fire in the kitchen ignited a blaze that leveled the building. (per Art Woodford) Joel S.

The check is stamped "paid."

- Color booklet from The Evening News, The Detroit Tribune, and The Sunday News Tribune, containing a poem, "A Happy New Year," written by Thad. Stevens Barnum. The front cover features a color illustration depicting the start of the new year, with an angelic figure and a background of an evening sky featuring a moon and two owls on the left, and Father Time and a background featuring the sun on the right. Text on the bottom left of the front cover reads "The Calvert Lith. Co. Detroit." The back cover features a color illustration of two boys selling copies of The Evening News with the title "INTRUSION." underneath the illustration in the center. The inside of the booklet contains the seven stanza poem written across four pages. Each page has a background depicting various scenes, including a newspaper salesman, a family sitting in front of a fire, a ballroom dance, and a horse drawn sleigh. The drawings are signed "Jos. Kraemer" on the bottom left.

- Certificate declaring that Ruldolph Joseph Lieb is authorized to practice dentistry in Michigan by the State Board of Examiners in Dentistry. The document was granted in Port Huron on December 6, 1901, and is signed by Egbert T. Loeffler, D.D.S., president; Frank O. Gilbert, D.D.S., treasurer; and Marshall B. Dennis, D.D.S, secretary. The golden seal of the State Board of Examiners in Dentistry has been affixed at the lower left. The certificate bears the mark of the Calvert Lithograph Company of Detroit.

- Diploma, printed on heavy paper and mounted on linen, from the Detroit Training School in Elocution and English Literature, awarded in 1887. The text of the diploma reads as follows: "Detroit Training School in Elocution and English Literature This is to certify that Carrie Louise Rivard has passed the examination required by this School on a two years course of study in the Art of Reading, and is hereby honorably graduated." Underneath the text of the certificate is a banner reading "Non finis, sed initium." The seal of the Detroit Training School in Elocution and English Literature is to the bottom left. To the right of the seal are signatures from Edna Chaffee Noble, Director, and Emma J. Clark, Secretary. Text at bottom right reads "Given on the 24th day of May A.D. 1887. - Handwritten letter on "Office of E.B. Ward" stationery, dated April 10, 1874, concerning the potential sale of some silver stocks. The letterhead includes an engraving of E.B. Ward's Warehouse by the Calvert Lithographing Company. The letter reads: Hank[?], I can do nothing with your Sil Stock except I sell it outright or on time with privilege of [?] back at a future time by paying at the rate of three per cent per month. It amounts to this. That if I sell it on time you will only use up the money & some one else will own it at half its value. I would also have to five my note to obtain the money & when due would only have the stock to repay me. The money lenders here are a most [?] set. I tried to get $600 on the stock without giving my note but it was impossible to obtain. Do you wish to sell outright for six hundred dollars. If so I will buy myself, if I can raise the money & sell it to Will[?] if he wishes it & to the Old Grut[?]. Your stock will be worth more in a year & I do not care to see it go out of the family. The recto includes times for interurban streetcars between Detroit and Port Huron, effective July 18, 1905, as well as times for cars between Detroit and Mt. Clemens aboard the Shore Line Interurban. The verso is printed with a color map expanding across all six panels, credited to the Calvert Lithographing Company, showing the routes of both lines as well as highlighting cities, hotels, and landmarks along both sides of Lake St. Clair, and the St. Clair River. Streetcar number 102, the "Miantonoman" is pictured in an insert in the map.

The certificate is signed by the group's president T.O. Shea, treasurer B. Cronin, and secretary W.M. Burgess, and a red embossed Detroit Firemen's Fund Association seal has been stamped besides the signatures. A color illustration of firefighters using a ladder apparatus and of a pair of firefighters riding on a horse-drawn fire engine are on the left side of the document.

The booklet consists of four leafs of cardstock bound with blue cord. The cover is printed with an engraving by the Calvert Lithographing Company of a group of steamships gathered on the Detroit River with the city's skyline in the background, including the Fort Street Union Depot, the Fort Street Presbyterian Church, the Federal Building and Post Office, City Hall, the Majestic Building. - One letter from the Baugh Steam Forge Company of Detroit to Ruhle Brothers of Philadelphia, dated February 9, 1878. The letterhead is printed in black script on white paper with a watermark that shows "Calvert Lith. Co., Detroit." The letter message is handwritten in black ink as follows: "Mssrs. Ruhle Brothers, Philadelphia. Dear Sirs. In reply to yours of the 6th. Your price is now so much in advance of other standard manufacturers that we felt obliged to place our orders elsewhere. Perhaps we may be able to do something with you at some future time, at present we are supplied. Yours truly, Baugh Steam Forge Co. Fil'd."

A girl waters flowers through a window on the front cover, and a small boy and girl share a large slice of watermelon in a field, surrounded by a border of vegetables on the back.

- Sealed D.M Ferry and Company envelope addressed to Mr. W.H. Greenell of Pierpont Manor, New York. The envelope is printed with a Calvert Lithograph Company engraving of the D.M. Ferry and Company Seed Warehouse above a logo which reads, "D.M. Ferry & Co. Seed Merchants, Growers & Importers, Detroit, Mich." The envelope is postmarked Detroit, February 3, 1886, and bears a two cent brown George Washington stamp. A Pierrepont Manor, New York, February 4, 1886 postmark is on the verso.
